CDG was asked to provide Design

and Construction phase services in a

Design – Build delivery method for the

build-out of a single operating room in

an existing surgery center. The center

included three fully functioning operating

rooms but had a placeholder for

a fourth OR. The project included the

build-out of an existing storage area to

become the fourth operating room.

 

Critical to the success of this project

was the development and submission

to the State of a “CRA” package which

described how the shell space for the

fourth operating room did not meet

all of the contemporary requirements

set for by the State for a new operating

room.

 

 

CDG led the Code allowed alternative

method of compliance process to be

able to build out the fourth operating

room. Upon this success, the fourth

operating room was constructed.
