Project Details

Square Footage:

450,000 sf

Responsibility:

master planning , programming, space planning, estimating

Delray Medical Center (“DMC”) wanted to strategically grow their campus. This project developed a master plan which provided:

  • A 15 year planning horizon.
  • Analysis of regional market forces
  • Existing service line statistics
  • Understanding of proposed growth   strategies
  • Analysis of their existing campus
  • Development plan of campus to accomplish increased square footage needs

The team met with the administrative team to develop a market capture plan including physician recruitment and general marketing of critical service lines.  Finally, they right-sized the existing campus to establish a base line square footage and then established how much square footage would be allocated per service line / program.

The resulting master plan laid out an 8-phase plan including renovations to existing departments as well as major additions.

The project provided analysis of the regional market including competitor service lines and rank versus DMC service lines and rank, zip code analysis of revenue streams and service line capture planning.
