Advent Health – Orlando cancer Center requested the design and construction phase service for a technically challenging renovation of one of their existing linear accelerators. The existing machine was at its end of life and no longer provided the cutting edge diagnostics Advent Health has come to expect.

The new machine was placed in a similiar location to the previous machine. However, changes in lasers and sensors as well as a strong desire to completely reinvent the aesthetic of this room, increased the level of complexity.

The Client asked CDG to increase the level of design by provide a cleaner, more polished aesthetic including fabric lighting equipment, changing lighting effects, floor to ceiling casework to accentuate the height of the space and cleaner, more durable finishes. Additionally, the project was to include more robust architectural details to be able to combat the day-to-day wear and tear from use of heavy equipment.
